A good-selling yacht when she was new and a popular model on the used market, the Jefferson 60 Marquessa combines an affordable price with a spacious interior and very substantial construction. She was built in Taiwan on a solid fiberglass hull with hard aft chines, a long, deep keel, and a wide 17-foot, 6-inch beam. In the standard layout, the 60 offers a large master stateroom aft with a tub/shower in the head, port and starboard engine rooms separated by a passageway, two double guest staterooms, each with a full head, and a two-berth forward crew cabin with head and shower. On the main deck, the salon aft of the pilothouse is large enough to incorporate a formal dining area forward as well as a fifth head to port. An entertainment center is just aft of the lower helm settee, and a curved staircase forward in the salon ascends to the flybridge. The afterdeck is largely enclosed by wing doors and side panels, and the extended flybridge includes a pair of L-shaped lounges and wet bar aft of the control station. Twin 735hp 8V92 Detroit diesels cruise the 60 Marquessa at 15–16 knots (about 18 knots top).
