56 Rivanna Cockpit MY
1994–2002
The Jefferson 56 Rivanna is a traditional cockpit motor yacht whose principal characteristics are an affordable price, a huge aft deck and a wide-open interior with an abundance of handcrafted teak woodwork. Built in Taiwan on a low-deadrise, solid fiberglass hull with modest transom deadrise, the Rivanna’s standard floorplan differs from most three-stateroom layouts in that the second guest cabin is aft of the salon rather than forward—a configuration that accounts for the spacious aft deck dimensions. Like many Taiwan yachts, the teak interior joinery of the Rivanna is beaujpgully finished throughout. A lower helm is standard, and each stateroom has a separate head compartment. (Note that several alternate floorplans have also been available.) Additional features include a spacious flybridge with seating for a small crowd, wide side decks, bow pulpit, an aft deck hardtop, radar arch and a roomy cockpit with transom door and swim platform. Among a variety of diesel engine options, twin 600hp Cats (or 635hp Cummins) will cruise the Jefferson 56 Rivanna at 18 knots and reach a top speed in the low 20s.
