52 Marquessa

1989–94

Jefferson Yachts 52 Marquessa
Similar in design to the old Chris Craft 501 Motor Yacht, the Jefferson 52 Marquessa is one of the smallest double-deck motor yachts ever built. Available in both an extended deckhouse version (with a full-width salon) and a standard deckhouse configuration (with an open aft deck), the Marquessa’s spacious interior provides the accommodations of a much larger boat. Of the two versions, the Extended Deckhouse model was the more popular because of her greatly expanded salon. (The essential difference between this and the deckhouse version is that the side decks narrow abaft the wing doors resulting in a wider, nearly full-width salon.) With either configuration, Jefferson offered a choice of lower-level floorplans, both with three staterooms, three heads, and separate engine rooms. The wheelhouse and staterooms are trimmed in hand-rubbed teak, and a built-in entertainment center separates the lower helm from the vast salon. Additional features include port and starboard wheelhouse deck doors, a huge flybridge with seating for a small crowd, and a small tub in the aft head. Standard 550hp Detroit 6V92 diesels cruise the 52 Marquessa at 16–17 knots.
