56 Marquessa Cockpit MY

1990–2002

Jefferson Yachts 56 Marquessa Cockpit MY
Introduced in 1991, the 56 Marquessa Cockpit MY is a spacious and altogether practical Taiwan import whose affordable price and full teak interior were among her most notable assets. Like all Jefferson yachts of her era, the Marquessa rides on a low-deadrise semi-V hull with a relatively wide beam and a long keel. Several galley-down floorplans were available which allowed owners wide latitude in customizing their boats. The lower helm is open to the salon on the deckhouse level, and there are three staterooms on the lower level. Note that the master suite—with its queen bed, double-size hanging lockers, and bathtub in the head—is reached via a corridor between separate engine rooms. The amidships guest stateroom may have single berths or a double, and the bow stateroom has upper and lower berths. The Marquessa’s covered aft deck is large enough for entertaining several guests, and the extended flybridge can easily accommodate a tender. Additional features include a built-in washer/dryer, a full entertainment center aft of the lower helm, and wheelhouse deck doors. Twin 550hp 6V92 Detroits cruise at 14–15 knots.
