43 Marlago Sundeck

1990–1997

Jefferson Yachts 43 Marlago Sundeck
A good-selling model, the Jefferson 43 Marlago is a well-styled Asian import whose full teak interior and very competitive price made her a serious contender in the midsize motor yacht market of the 1990s. In most respects, the Marlago is typical of most Taiwan yachts of her era. Construction is solid fiberglass, and her low-deadrise, solid fiberglass hull incorporates a long keel for increased directional stability. Her two-stateroom floorplan is arranged with the galley and dinette down and double berths in both staterooms. A lower helm was standard in the salon, and a tub/shower is fitted in the aft head compartment. While the teak woodwork is well finished, it does make for a rather dark interior in spite of the large cabin windows. Topside, the Marlago’s full-width aft deck is large enough for casual entertaining, and the flybridge is set up with the helm forward and guest seating aft. A hardtop, radar arch, and bow pulpit were standard. Cummins 300hp diesels cruise at 15–16 knots (about 20 knots top). Cat diesels to 425hp were optional. The Jefferson 46 Marlago Cockpit MY is the same boat with a cockpit extension.
