Striker

58 Sport Fisherman

1988–91

Striker 58 Sport Fisherman
Built in Chile, the Striker 58 SF (pictured above) is actually a revised and updated version of the earlier Striker 60 SF built in Korea from 1979–82. She has the same hull, but changes were made to the deckhouse, cockpit, engine room, and flybridge. Like all Striker yachts, she was constructed of welded aluminum on a wide-beamed hull with the shallow keel providing protection to the props and running gear. At heart, the Striker 58/60 is a world-class tournament fisherman with the strength and endurance to match any boat in the fleet. The spacious cockpit is set up for serious fishing and—as with the Striker 62 and 70 models—the 58 also has a unique on-deck day head. While all were delivered with semi-custom layouts, the interior of the 58 was redesigned early in her production run (see lower floorplan) and featured an all-new decor package. A good-running boat, 1,080-hp 12V92s cruise the Striker 58 Sportfisherman at 24–26 knots (high 20s top).
