The 70 Sportfisherman is the largest model ever built by Striker Yachts. A total of seven of these custom yachts have been constructed to date—two in Korea and five in Holland. With her welded aluminum construction, beefy systems, and enormous interiors, the Striker 70 is actually a small ship with the range to reach the most remote fishing grounds. The huge 221-sq. ft. cockpit is awesome in size and comes equipped with a vast array of features including the popular day head seen in some smaller Striker models. The salon steps lift up at the touch of a button to provide direct cockpit access to the engine room, and (like all Strikers) the gin pole serves as an air duct to ventilate the engine room. The interior layout and decor of the 70s were generally customized to meet the tastes of the owner. Those powered with the 1,300hp MTUs cruise at 17–18 knots. The 1,900hp MTUs cruise at 22 knots and reach a top speed of 25 knots. While the Striker 70 SF went out of production in 1989, the company continued to offer custom versions of this model well after that date.
