50 Sport Fisherman

1979–89

Striker 50 Sport Fisherman
The first Striker 50s were built in Korea beginning in 1979. Five were constructed through 1982, and each was a semi-custom yacht built to suit the needs of her owner. Production was resumed in 1987 when a yard in Chile was selected to build the boats. These newer Striker 50s incorporated major design changes in the deckhouse, cockpit, engine room, and flybridge. Her two-stateroom interior was available with the galley up or down, the difference being the size of the owner’s stateroom and the salon arrangement. Featuring a luxurious decor (for her day), the spacious accommodations available in the Striker 50’s living areas are impressive. Outside, the cockpit is set up for serious fishing with cockpit controls and a teak sole standard together with direct access to the roomy engine room. Additional features include wide side decks with sturdy rails, an upright rod locker in the cockpit, a huge flybridge, and an unusually long welded pulpit. The Striker 50 will cruise at 24–25 knots and reach a top speed of 28 knots with 735hp GM 8V92 diesels.
