54 Sport Fisherman

1970–75

Striker 54 Sport Fisherman
The Striker 54 evolved from the successful Striker 36 and 44 models, and all were designed for long-range, tournament-level events. A total of 18 were built in Norway. Her distinctive profile, welded aluminum construction, super-wide beam, and unique modified-V hull design set her apart from the competition. The first impression of a Striker 54 is of size—she's a big 54-footer. Inside, her three-stateroom interior is finished in solid teak and features an expansive 20-foot-long salon wide open to the galley. Each stateroom is fitted with twin berths, and each has a private head. Like all Strikers, the 54 features a sea chest to eliminate through-hull fittings, self-cooling integral fuel tanks, protection for the underwater running gear, very wide side decks, and massive aluminum rails for on-deck security. Popular on the used market for many years, she’ll cruise at 17 knots and run 20 knots wide open with 12V71N diesels. With the larger 12V71TI versions she’ll cruise at 21 knots and reach a top speed of 24 knots. Note that the published weight of 34,000 pounds is extremely light for a boat this size and may well be inaccurate.
