52 Flybridge

1997–2000

Viking Sport Cruisers 52 Flybridge
Luxury-class accommodations, graceful design, and superb open-water performance are joined in the Viking SC52 Flybridge, a yacht whose sophisticated construction and meticulous finish turned a lot of heads in the late 1990s. She’s built on a high-performance deep-V hull—narrow in the beam compared with most of her American-built counterparts—with an extended swim platform and prop pockets. Several two- and three-stateroom floorplans were offered in the VSC52, all of which were available with crew quarters beneath the cockpit. Regardless of the layout, the high-gloss cherry joinery, designer fabrics, and tasteful furnishings of the Viking SC52 defined yachting elegance in her era. The cockpit, with its teak sole and built-in lounge seat, provides easy access to a large storage lazarette as well as the (compact) engine room. Additional features include a teak swim platform, bow thruster, wide side decks, power vent windows, and a transom door. Twin 480hp Volvo diesels cruise the Viking SC52 Flybridge at 24 knots (28–29 knots top), and 610hp Volvos cruise at 27 knots with a top speed of around 32 knots.
