Viking Sport Cruisers
50 Flybridge
2002–07
The Viking Sport Cruisers 50 Flybridge took sportyacht styling and performance to the next level when she was introduced into the U.S. market in 2001. Indeed, with her elegant two-stateroom interior and near 30-knot performance the VSC 50 remains one of the more compelling midsize motor yachts available. Built by UK-based Marine Projects, she rides on a proven deep-V hull with moderate beam and propeller tunnels to reduce draft. Below decks, the open layout features Ultraleather salon seating, recessed galley forward, and an elevated lower helm to starboard. Both staterooms have double berths, and each head compartment includes a separate stall shower. The cockpit, shaded by the extended flybridge, comes with a teak sole as well as a full-width transom seat and an access door to the lazarette and engine room. A curved staircase ascends to a roomy flybridge with wraparound lounge seating, wet bar, and aft sun lounger. Additional features include a washer/dryer forward of the galley, cockpit shower and ice maker, and a teak swim platform. Twin 480hp Volvos cruise the VSC50 at 22 knots (26–27 knots top), and optional 675hp Volvos cruise at a fast 28 knots (30+ top).
