Uniflite

36 Sport Sedan

1970–79

Uniflite 36 Sport Sedan
Introduced in 1970, the Uniflite 36 Sport Sedan is obviously dated by today’s standards but she was a notably popular boat in her day. Built on the same solid fiberglass hull as the 36 Double Cabin—a modified-V design with single chines and a shallow keel for stability—she was offered with two basic interior layouts during her production years. The more popular two-stateroom version has the galley to port in the salon, while the single-stateroom floorplan has the galley down resulting in a more spacious, less cluttered salon. The cockpit of the Uniflite 36, while not designed with serious fishing in mind, is roomy enough for swimming and diving. Topside, the flybridge is large for a 36-foot boat with the helm console set all the way forward in the West Coast fashion. Additional features include wide side decks, swim platform, and stainless steel cockpit railings. A popular model during her production years, standard Crusader 454-cid gas engines cruise the Uniflite 36 Sport Sedan around 19 knots and reach a top speed of 28–29 knots. Optional 210hp Caterpillar diesels cruise at 16 knots and reach a top speed of about 18–19 knots.
