Contender’s largest Fisharound model, the 39 FA is a purebred sportfishing boat with luxury amenities not always expected in a hardcore tournament machine. With an exceptional 500-mile-plus range, the 39 FA is built to run far offshore and stay overnight comfortably while still handling like an agile, high-performance center console. The walkways on both sides of the console are wide enough for easy 360-degree access to the water. Forward of the console is step-down center cabin with enough headroom in the aft section to utilize a full galley including a cooktop, refrigerator/freezer, Corian countertop/sink, and a fully enclosed head with a shower, and a queen berth all the way forward. The leaning post at the helm converts to plush seating, adjustable on electric slides. A padded lounge large enough for two people sits atop the forward portion of the cabin, and tackle storage and a rigging station tuck neatly behind the helm seating. Twin 40-gallon transom livewells, two insulated in-deck fish boxes, a removable L-shaped cockpit seat, and a full tower that folds down for trailering. Powered with triple Yamaha F350s, the 39 FA will reach a top speed of over 60 knots.
