Contender

23T

2003–17

While they look the same on the outside, the Contender 23T and the Contender 23 Open are different boats. Below is a summary of the key differences. • The 23T is a three-piece boat, (separate hull, deck and liner molds) with an 8'6" beam. (The 23 Open is a two-piece hull with an 8'3" beam.) • The 23T measures 25'3" overall excluding the optional bowsprit. Despite its designation, think of it as a 25-footer. • The 23T has a better, tournament-style console (optional on the 23 Open after 1998). • The 23T carries 175 gallons of fuel compared to 150 for the Open. • The 50-gallon livewell is above deck on the 23T, in-deck on the 23 Open. At 32 mph, expect a range of over 400 nautical miles with twin Yamaha F150's.
