323 Open

Offered in Cuddy and Open configurations, the Intrepid 323 is a premium day boat designed mostly for cruising, but versatile enough to be set up for fishing as well. Intrepids are semicustom boat and features from dive doors and T-tops to leaning posts and rod holders are options. Like all late model Intrepids, the 323 runs on a transverse single-step hull. Where the 323 Open has a traditional center console deck plan with (or without) forward seating, the layout of the 323 Cuddy has L-shaped lounge seating forward of the console. Forward is a flush cuddy cabin with a V-berth, hanging locker, and a space-saving head that swivels out from under the step at the touch of a button. (A galley cabinet was also available.) A transom door and insulated port fish box are standard in the cockpit, and small dive platforms flank the outboard engines. Standard features include a pop-up console electronics display, trim tabs, anchor chute, washdowns, and—on the 323 Open—a console seat that slides aside for access to the head compartment. The 323’s high-performance stepped hull is vacuum-bagged and fully cored. A popular model, twin 250hp outboards deliver a top speed of about 45 knots.
