Intrepid Yachts 26 Walkaround
The Intrepid 26 Walkaround is a lightweight offshore fisherman whose quality construction and practical layout placed her in the forefront of trailerable walkarounds during her production years. A good-looking boat, she rides on a Jim Wynne-designed deep-V hull with cored hullsides, a solid fiberglass bottom, and a fully integrated outboard bracket. The Intrepid has a spacious and well-arranged cockpit with an in-deck livewell, two large fish boxes, bolster pads, and separate battery compartments at the corners. The cabin, with a full inner liner, contains V-berths forward, a small galley area, and an enclosed head with shower opposite the galley. Molded steps flanking the cabin lead up to the the side decks, and a small casting platform is forward. Additional features include a reverse windshield, rod holders, trim tabs, bolster pads, and an anchor locker. A good performer, twin 200hp outboards cruise the Intrepid 26 at 30 knots and a reach top speed of about 45 knots.
