289 Center Console

1987–2003

Intrepid Yachts 289 Center Console
In a diverse field of offshore center consoles, the Intrepid 289 stands apart for her quality construction and high-performance stepped hull design—features that have long placed Intrepid products at the forefront of boat building innovation. Built on a Kevlar-reinforced hull with moderate beam, the 289 is a relatively light boat for her size which accounts for her fuel-efficient operation. Intrepids are basically semi-custom boats, so each 289 was configured for cruising or fishing depending on the buyer’s preference. Note the unusual bow head compartment. Standard features include cushioned bow seating with storage under, raw-water washdown, hydraulic trim tabs, cockpit bolsters, cockpit rod storage, gunnel rod holders, tilt-away helm, forward console seat with armrests, dual dive platforms, insulated cooler, removable rear seat, in-deck fish/storage boxes, lockable console storage, hydraulic steering, remote oil fills, and cockpit lights. As it is with all Intrepid boats, fit and finish is second to none. A good performer due in part to her light weight, twin Yamaha 225s top out around 45 knots.
