30 Console Cuddy

Intrepid’s first model, the 30 Console Cuddy was a cutting-edge boat when she was introduced in 1984. With her lightweight, high-tech construction and exceptional performance, she went a long way toward defining the Intrepid brand in the years that Followed. Built on a lightweight deep-V hull with a slender 8'6" beam, the 30 Console Cabin is legally trailerable in every state—rare in a 30-foot boat. That said, the cockpit is much smaller than most 30-footers, and the cuddy cabin is tiny. Highlights included a double helm seat with rod holders, cushioned console seat, dive platform with ladder, rod storage, insulated fish box, livewell, raw-water washdown, removable rear bench seat, tackle cabinet, and low-profile bow rails. The no-frills cuddy includes rod storage racks in addition to a portable head, storage bins, and V-berths. Note that in 1992 the deck tooling was redesigned. An alternate version of this boat with an open deck layout (no cuddy cabin) was also available. Yamaha 250hp outboards cruise the Intrepid 30 in the mid to high 30s and top out at 45+ knots.
