26 Center Console

Intrepid Yachts 26 Center Console
The original Intrepid 26 Center Console (replaced in 1997 with the stepped-hull 262 Center Console) is a durable offshore fisherman whose quality construction and fast, stable ride made her a popular boat with anglers for many years. She rides on a Jim Wynne designed deep-V hull with an integrated outboard bracket and a trailerable 8-foot, 6-inch beam. At just 2,600 lbs. (without power), the Intrepid is one of the lightest boats in her class. A good-looking boat built to high production standards, the deck layout is arranged with a 35-gallon livewell in the center of the cockpit, aft of the leaning post, with a big fish box forward and a total of six in-deck dry storage boxes. Additional storage space can be found under the console as well as beneath the padded seat forward. An anchor locker, rod holders, and under-gunwale rod racks were standard. The 26 CC is an excellent ride to and from the fishing grounds, a great dive boat, as well as, and a capable evening cruiser with a roomy cockpit. Twin 200hp Yamaha outboards deliver a cruising speed of 32–33 knots and a top speed approaching 50 knots.
