72 Flybridge

The aggressive lines of the Ferretti 72 (called the Ferretti 70 in 1997–98) made American motor yachts of this era look more than a little conservative. With her flowing lines, wide flybridge, and teardrop salon windows the 72 was in a class by herself when it came to late 1990’s motoryacht styling. Built on a high-performance hull with prop pockets and a generous 18-foot beam, the lavish interior is arranged with the galley up, two steps above the aft salon and opposite the formal dining area. From the beaujpgul wood finish to the ultra-suede wall coverings and glove leather sofas, the interior of the Ferretti 72 is an impressive display of Italian yachting elegance. There are three en suite staterooms below including a full beam master with king-size bed and walk-in wardrobe. Aft crew quarters have berths for two. Flybridge access is from the aft deck or within the pilothouse. The swim platform can carry a tender or PWC and a large hatch raises hydraulically to access a storage area for water toys and dive gear. Additional features include teak walkaround decks, an engine room work area, and a huge foredeck sun pad. Twin 1150hp MTU diesels (or 1250hp Cats) will cruise the Ferretti 72 at 26–28 knots (30+ top).
