46-480

Bold styling, good performance, and luxurious accommodations are the hallmarks of the Ferretti 480 (called the Ferretti 46 until 2001 when the swim platform was extended), one of the smaller models in Ferretti’s line of top-quality production yachts. Built on a modified-V hull with a wide beam, the salon layout differs from her British counterparts in that the lower helm is to port rather than starboard. The dinette is opposite the helm, and the small sunken galley in the salon is typical of European boats. As usual, the Ferretti’s interior is a modern display of upscale Italian design and meticulous workmanship. Her three-stateroom floorplan is arranged with identical guest cabins, and both heads contain separate stall showers and bidets. Note that a crew cabin with head is aft and accessed from the cockpit—a big-boat luxury that makes for a smaller engine room. Additional features include a big flybridge with direct salon access (rare in a boat this size), teak cockpit sole, wide side decks and an extended swim platform. Twin 435hp V-drive Cats cruise the Ferretti 480 at 24 knots (27–28 knots top), and later models with 630hp V-drive MANs cruise in the mid 20s and top out at just over 30 knots.
