58 Convertible

The Egg Harbor 58 is a scaled-down version of the Egg Harbor 60 Convertible introduced back in 1986. With her long foredeck, sweeping sheer, and rakish superstructure, the Egg Harbor 58 is a study in classic, Jersey-style design. She’s built on a low-deadrise hull with a wide 17-foot, 6-inch beam, cored hullsides, and a solid fiberglass bottom. Below, the 58’s standard interior is arranged with three staterooms on the lower level and the low-profile galley forward in the salon. The owner’s suite is amidships in this layout (note that a step-down dressing room extends under the salon floor) and includes a queen bed and a tub/shower in the head. A washer/dryer is standard, situated just aft of the second guest stateroom, which can also be configured as an office. Typical of all Egg Harbor yachts, richly finished cabinets and furnishings highlight the interior. The cockpit of the Egg Harbor 58 is huge and so is the flybridge, which provides seating for a small crowd. A good open-water performer, she’ll cruise in the mid to high 20s with 1,100hp 12V92 Detroit diesels (30+ knots top), and later models with 1,335hp MTUs cruise at a very fast 34 knots and reach a top speed of 40+ knots.
