Egg Harbor Yachts 37 Sport Yacht
Throughout its history, Egg Harbor consistently builds good-looking boats with inviting interiors and above-average workmanship. The 37 Sport Yacht, introduced in 2001, continued that legacy into the new millennium. Built on a beamy modified-V hull with cored hullsides and a well-flared bow, she carries a little more transom deadrise than previous Egg Harbor models. The upscale interior of the Sport Yacht is an impressive display of varnished woodwork, designer fabrics, and solid brass hardware. There are two staterooms forward, and the very large head has a separate stall shower. The galley is up in this layout, to port in the salon, and a complete entertainment center (with surround sound) is built into the forward windshield area. Topside, the flybridge is large for a 37-footer with seating for five and room to walk behind both helm chairs. The big cockpit is fitted with a transom door, tackle center with sink, an in-deck fish box, direct engine room access, and a transom livewell. Among several engine choices, twin 420hp Cat diesels cruise the Egg Harbor 37 at 24–26 knots (high 20s top).
