43 Sport Yacht

2004–09

Egg Harbor Yachts 43 Sport Yacht
Introduced in 2004, the Egg Harbor 43 Sport Yacht replaced the look-alike Egg Harbor 42 Sport Yacht produced from 2001–03. In spite of their nearly identical profiles, the 43 rides on a completely redesigned hull with considerably more transom deadrise that the 42, a little less draft, and prop pockets to level the engines. Compared with her predecessor, the 43 is a better rough-water performer with improved headsea characteristics and a better ride. Below, the luxurious interior of the 43 Sport Yacht is as good as it gets in a late-model Egg Harbor boat. The salon features a sectional sofa to starboard and a snack bar to port, and the step-down galley allows easy communication with those in the salon. There are two staterooms forward, and a dinette is optional in the salon. The high-gloss cherry woodwork is finished to a very high standard. Like all Egg Harbor convertibles, there are plenty of amenities for anglers including a transom livewell, full tackle center, and large fish box. Additional features include an engine room sea chest, retractable flybridge electronics console, and an uncluttered engine room. A well-finished boat, 700hp Cats cruise in the mid 20s and reach 30+ knots wide open.
