Egg Harbor Yachts
42 Sport Yacht
2001–03
Modern styling, luxurious accommodations, and impressive performance are the hallmarks of the Egg Harbor 42 Sport Yacht, a classic Jersey-built convertible from a company whose name has long been synonymous with quality and tradition. Built on a low-deadrise hull with a relatively wide 15-foot beam, cored hullsides, and a solid fiberglass bottom, the Sport Yacht’s comfortable two-stateroom interior is arranged with an island berth in the forward stateroom and over/under bunks in the guest cabin. A breakfast bar overlooks the step-down galley, and the salon is highlighted by a sectional Ultraleather sofa and built-in entertainment center. Note the granite sole in the galley and head. As it is in all late-model Egg Harbor yachts, the varnished teak woodwork is finished to exacting standards. The 42’s spacious cockpit is equipped with all the amenities expected in a yacht of this caliber, including a tackle center with sink, transom door, fish box, and direct access to the engine room. An underwater exhaust system was standard. A sjpgf ride in a chop, twin 660hp Cats cruise in the high 20s and top out at over 30 knots.
