The Cheoy Lee 40 Long Range Cruiser is a traditional trunk cabin trawler whose principal characteristics are solid construction, a stable, comfortable ride, and genuine long-range cruising capability. Hull construction is solid fiberglass, and a teak overlay was applied on the decks and cabintop. A deep, full-length keel protects the props and running gear and gives the owner a valuable margin of safety in shallow waters. The 40’s all-teak interior originally had twin single berths in the aft stateroom; however later models featured a double berth aft—definitely a more popular configuration. Visibility from the lower helm station is very good, and a deck access door provides quick access to the foredeck.
