2004–07

Albin 30 Family Cruiser
The Albin 30 Family Cruiser is the successor to the company’s popular 27 Family Cruiser manufactured from 1983–95. This is an ideal small cruiser for the family whose priorities include economical operation, easy handling, and—perhaps most important of all—an affordable price. The hull of the Albin 30 is solid fiberglass, and a skeg-mounted rudder provides protection for the running gear in the event of grounding. Her split-plan layout offers sleeping accommodations for five adults in two separate cabins. The galley and head are in the forward cabin where a convertible U-shaped dinette and portside quarter berth will sleep three, and twin single berths in the aft cabin can be converted into a queen bed. The cockpit is deep enough to keep youngsters safe and secure, and visibility from the semi-enclosed helm is excellent. A hatch between the helm and companion seats provides good access to the engine. Additional features include an in-floor cockpit storage well, wide side decks, ten opening ports, and a bow pulpit. A single 300hp Perkins diesel will cruise the Family Cruiser at an economical 16–17 knots and reach a top speed of around 22 knots.
