A Weekend in Harbour Island: The 2024 Princess Yachts Spring Owners Holiday
The annual Princess Yachts Spring Owners Holiday or Princess Rendezvous was held in the beautiful Harbour Island, Bahamas. This four-day event was a success, thanks to Princess Yachts America. Hosted at the stunning Valentines Resort, the team ensured owners could enjoy a weekend with friends and family, relaxing and participating in exciting events. Growing larger each year, Princess has to think outside the box to keep everyone entertained. They accomplished that and more! Keep reading for a glimpse into this year's holiday.
Day 1
During the day guests arrive and settle in at Valentines Resort, eager for the festivities to begin. To kick off the event, our team delivered personalized goodie bags to each of our Princess Owners around the marina. Team HMY strives to greet our clients and be there for them, should they need anything, throughout the weekend. Once everyone has arrived, the staff, guests, and friends all meet on the docks for a welcome reception and dock party where all can enjoy drinks, music, food, and fireworks under the vibrant stary night sky.
Day 2
Friday morning opened with a buzz! Local coffee and baked goods were delivered dockside to each Princess Yacht.
Following breakfast, Princess Yachts America put on a pickleball tournament, hosted at The Dunmore. For those interested in getting creative, there was an opportunity to take a painting class alongside other owners with a local artist. Painting with a view in the Bahamas was a worthwhile experience!
The afternoon took us all to a fun, competitive spectacle that brought everyone together to explore Harbour Island. Guests were encouraged to decorate their golf carts and dress up to a theme of their choosing, create a skit, and drive around the island picking up giant cards for a poker hand. After collecting their cards, teams performed their skits in front of everyone at the finish line of the “Knot So Grand” Prix. This eventful day was full of laughs, excitement, and team bonding.
Day 3
As the first couple days flew by, the beach day arrived! The beach day is a fan favorite every year, as Princess reserves a private beach for the entire group of owners to enjoy. With plenty of drinks, food, and sunshine to go around, this all-day event was nothing but a good time. There were paddleboards, beach games, SEABOBs, floats, and more for everyone to use and enjoy.
Towards the end of beach day the annual egg toss takes place! The entire group gathers opposite one another to participate in a huge egg toss game. It gets competitive, with people jumping and diving to catch the eggs. This year, HMY’s own clients of “Lynn Marie” took home the glory of being the egg toss champion!
Owners were able to venture off and find local cuisine for dinner this night, but HMY found it was the perfect evening to get together with our owners. This night was the night of the Kentucky Derby, and we hosted our own viewing party poolside at Valentines Resort. The watch party included drinks, food, music, and crab racing. Clients were able to place bets on live crab racing to support the Rich Lazzara/ALS Foundation. This evening was a great way to spend time with our clients and support a cause that is special to the HMY family.
Day 4
The last full day in Harbour Island was left up to everyone to explore! Groups took out tenders and jet skis to soak up the sun and cruise through the stunning blue Bahama waters. You could find turtles and pigs to swim with nearby, enjoy the beaches, dine at local restaurants, or relax aboard your Princess for the day. We closed out the weekend with dinner and drinks delivered to each boat, then had some closing remarks by Princess Yachts America.
This weekend was definitely one to remember. Thank you to Princess Yachts and Princess Yachts America for hosting this spectacular event for our owners. We look forward to joining this group every year!
