Princess Owners Holiday Recap 2022

Princess Owners Holiday Recap 2022

By Katie Flanagan   May 3, 2022

Last month, a fleet of Princess Yacht owners set out across the Caribbean to the 2022 Princess Owners Holiday event hosted at the Abaco Beach Resort. The resort is in Marsh Harbour in the Bahamas, and delivers the true out-island spirit. The 2022 Rendezvous had nearly 50 Princess yachts participate in this exciting event.

With each passing year, Princess continues to build on their rendezvous and elevate the bar previously set at past events. Owners traveled from far-away locations to all come together on their vessels to enjoy a week of authentic island cuisine, entertainment, and events.

Throughout the week some of the activities included beach days, island hopping, pickleball, painting, “dock-tail” competitions, stops at iconic island restaurants and bars, and live entertainment.

Abaco Beach Resort Pickleball

Thursday, April 21st: The event kicked off on Thursday with the majority of the owners arriving via a Princess yacht to the islands. Princess Yachts and HMY welcome gift bags were distributed to the owners and dinner was delivered to each vessel.

Friday, April 22nd: This was the Princess Yachts Beach Day Event! Owners look forward to the Beach Day every year. Why, you ask? This is due to the building anticipation for the annual egg toss! Yes, you read that correctly. Each year the trip hosts an egg toss. Stakes are not very high, but the competition gets heated. Owners partner up to toss fragile eggs back and forth on the beach in hope that their team is the last one standing and takes the victory. It is quite the highlight of the beach day.

Other activities such as corn hole and SeaBobs were held on the beach while a hearty cookout was taking place and local craft cocktails and refreshments were enjoyed beachside. Princess Yachts Owners Holiday Event

Later that evening a “Docktail competition” was held in the marina. Each Princess Yacht that participated crafted a specialty cocktail and was scored on drink name, creativity, taste, and presentation.

The rest of the weekend owners were able to explore the nearby islands including Hopetown, Man-O-War Cay, or Great Guana Cay. Locations like Pete’s Pub, Nippers, and Firefly were just a few to name but most definitely fan-favorite destinations during the trip while island hopping.

Owners who have recently joined the Princess Yacht Family and are soon to take delivery of their new vessels also joined the event and stayed on the island. We are looking forward to seeing these owners on their new vessels next summer as well!  HMY Yacht Sales would like to thank Princess Yachts America for hosting a spectacular yachting event once again.
