Stamas
32 Sport Sedan
1974–87
Introduced back in the early 1970s, the Stamas 32 Sport Sedan remained in the Stamas lineup for a good many years thanks to her attractive lines and a reputation for dependable operation. She’s obviously dated by today’s styling standards, but the solid construction and versatile layout of the 32 Sport Sedan still has much to offer those in the market for a sturdy family cruiser. The 32 rides on a solid fiberglass hull with moderate beam and relatively low freeboard. Several galley-down floorplans were offered over the years, all with a lower helm and a single stateroom forward. A sliding glass door opens to a cockpit large enough for some light-tackle fishing, and wide side decks make access to the bow easy and safe. There’s seating for three on the flybridge and a vented front windshield provides a good cabin ventilation. Additional features include plenty of storage compartments, a well-flared bow, and good access around the motors. Several engine options were offered over the years. Among the most popular, a pair of 260hp gas inboards cruise the 32 Sport Sedan at 18 knots (about 27 knots top), and larger 330hp gas engines cruise in the low 20s and reach a top speed of 30+ knots.
