Silverton Yachts
360-361 Express
1995–2000
Introduced in 1995, the Silverton 361 Express (called the Silverton 360 Express in 1997–2000) combined the elements of style, comfort, and performance in a contemporary sportboat package. She was built on a solid fiberglass, low-deadrise hull with a wide beam and prop pockets to reduce draft. The midcabin floorplan of the 361 Express is arranged with double berths fore and aft, a full galley, and a circular salon dinette. There are privacy doors for both staterooms—a convenience seldom found in midcabin cruisers these days—and the interior is tastefully finished with cherrywood joinery and earth tone fabrics. There’s comfortable seating in the cockpit for six, and the transom has a built-in storage and a hot-and-cold water shower. Lacking side decks, a walk-through windshield provides access to the foredeck. Note the sporty air intake vents in the hullsides. Additional features include a radar arch, swim platform, transom door, cockpit wet bar, and a foredeck sun pad. A very affordable boat by the standards of her day, twin 320hp Crusader gas inboards (with V-drives) will cruise the Silverton 360/361 Express at 18–19 knots and reach a top speed in the high 20s.
