Silverton Yachts 310 Express
A stylish entry-level cruiser, the Silverton 310 Express was among the more popular boats in her class during the late 1990s. She was marketed an affordable alternative to more expensive cruisers from Sea Ray and Regal, etc., and while her amenities are modest few would deny that the 310 Express was a lot of boat for the money. Hull construction is solid fiberglass, and her 11'6" beam is relatively wide for a 30-footer. Below, the entryway steps are suspended by aluminum weldments—a design that makes the 310’s interior seem unusually open and spacious. Rather than tucked almost out of sight under the cockpit, the U-shaped mid-cabin seating is wide open to the salon. The galley and head/shower are to port in the cabin, opposite a convertible L-shaped dinette. Forward is an angled double berth, hanging locker, and privacy curtain. A foldaway bench seat is aft in the cockpit along with a wet bar and aft-facing table that converts into a sun lounge. Additional features include a walk-thru windshield, bow pulpit, radar arch, and fender racks built into the integrated swim platform. MerCruiser 260hp sterndrives cruise the 310 Express at 18–20 knots.
