Silverton Yachts 34 Convertible
First in a series of 34-foot sedans produced by Silverton over the years, the 34 Convertible was marketed as an entry-level family cruiser for entertaining, diving, and light-tackle fishing. She rides on a solid fiberglass hull with a flared bow and moderate beam—a proven hull design used for several succeeding Silverton models. Entering the salon through a full-height sliding glass door, the galley-down layout features a sleeper sofa to port and lower helm to starboard in the carpeted salon. Forward and down two steps is a full galley with 3-burner stove, refrigerator, and dry storage above and below the countertop. Forward of the galley is an enclosed head with sink and hand-held shower. Opposite the head is a raised U-shaped dinette with storage under. The forward stateroom features a large V-berth with filler cushion, hanging locker, and privacy curtain. Hatches in the cockpit sole provide good access to the engines, and a bench seating on the flybridge seats three. Wide side decks are a plus, and a swim platform with boarding ladder was standard. Crusader 270hp gas engines cruise the Silverton 34 at 16–18 knots (mid 20s top).
