Sealine Yachts
S41 Sports Yacht
2000–03
In many ways, the Sealine S41 was very unlike any other European sportboat of her day. It wasn’t just the partial hardtop with its sliding roof panel that set her apart (what Sealine called a Solar Protection System); the real surprise is found below where the S41’s two-stateroom floorplan delivers a motoryacht-size aft cabin with full standing headroom, a walkaround queen berth and a private head. By any standard, this is an impressive layout for an express cruiser, one made possible by locating the engines aft and using sterndrive power rather than inboards. On deck, the bi-level cockpit is very spacious with plenty of seating, a dedicated life raft locker, wet bar and sun pad. An overhead storage bin in the hardtop stores the cockpit table and the two-part enclosure. Note that there have been some reports that the hardtop, which has no forward supports, may flex at higher speeds. Additional features include a teak cockpit sole, an electric sunroof, twin bolster seats at the helm and a surprisingly large galley. The engine room is a tight fit. Twin 300hp Volvo diesel I/Os cruise the Sealine S41 in the mid 20s (about 30 knots top). Note that the Sealine S43 Sports Yacht is the same boat with inboard power.
