43 Flybridge

1995–2001

Sealine Yachts 43 Flybridge
Introduced in the UK in 1991 as the Sealine 390 and first seen in the U.S. in 1996, the Sealine F43 Flybridge (called the 410 Statesman in 1993–98 and the 43 Flybridge since 1999 when the swim platform was extended) has remained a popular boat over the years thanks to a comparatively moderate price and a very innovative aft-cabin floorplan. The F43 is constructed on a solid fiberglass modified-V hull with moderate beam and an integrated swim platform. Her galley-down, aft-cabin floorplan has the master stateroom aft, under the cockpit. To make this configuration work the molded seating around the cockpit perimeter is cleverly designed to provide full standing headroom around the centerline bed in the cabin below. A lower helm is standard in the salon, and there are separate toilet and shower compartments in the master stateroom. Outside, the cockpit is partially sheltered by a bridge overhang, and an overhead compartment in the overhang stores the removable cockpit table. Note that the side decks on the F43 are very narrow and the engine room is a tight fit. Twin 370hp Volvo (or Cummins) diesels cruise in the low-to-mid 20s and top out at close to 30 knots. Over 400 were built.
