F44 Flybridge

1998–2001

Sealine Yachts F44 Flybridge
Sealines have often been noted for their excessive styling, and the 44 Flybridge (called the 420 Statesman until 1998 when the swim platform was extended) is a very distinctive yacht by the standards of her day. Built in England, she rides on a solid glass modified-V hull with moderate beam, a fully integrated swim platform, and prop pockets to reduce shaft angles. The Sealine’s two-stateroom, galley-down floorplan was slightly upgraded in 1999 when the berths in the guest cabin were rearranged. The cockpit comes with a built-in lounge seat, transom door, and molded steps to the side decks. A useful feature of the 44 Flybridge (as well as many other Sealine models) is an overhead compartment above the cockpit that houses a canvas cockpit enclosure. To port, a curved stairway leads to the flybridge where a large sun pad it located aft of the helm. Additional features include foredeck fender storage, a huge storage bin beneath the cockpit and side exhausts. On the downside, the engine room is a tight fit. Twin 370hp Volvo (or Cummins) diesels cruise in the low 20s (25+ knots top), and a pair of 450hp Cummins cruise in the mid to high 20s and reach a top speed in excess of 30 knots.
