Pacemaker

66 Motor Yacht

1977–80

Pacemaker 66 Motor Yacht
The Pacemaker 66 Motor Yacht has a sophisticated, upper-class elegance that few other limited-production motor yachts of her era ever matched. Sharing the same construction characteristics as the Pacemaker 62, the hull and flybridge of the 66 are solid fiberglass, however the superstructure is a combination of fiberglass and glass-over-mahogany, and the decks are teak. Introduced in 1977, the 66 MY remained popular right up until Pacemaker went out of business in 1980. Uniflite then acquired the molds, but before they delivered the first boat (three years later) Uniflite itself had gone under. Chris Craft then took over, eventually building two final boats. With her extended full-beam main salon, separate formal dining area, palatial master stateroom, and sumptuous guest accommodations, the Pacemaker 66 offers extravagant entertaining and cruising capabilities. While the aft deck is somewhat small, the flybridge dimensions are expansive. Standard power was a pair of GM 12V71N diesels for a cruising speed of 15–16 knots and a top speed of about 18 knots. The 650hp TI versions of the same motors cruise at 18–19 knots.
