Pacemaker

62 Motor Yacht

1973–80

Pacemaker 62 Motor Yacht
With her classic flushdeck profile and opulent interior, the Pacemaker 62 Motor Yacht was elegance on a grand scale during the 1970s. Even today, these graceful yachts are highly prized by those who appreciate classic motor yacht styling irrespective of their escalating maintenance costs. The hull and flybridge of the 62 are solid fiberglass, however the superstructure is a combination of fiberglass and glass-over-mahogany, and the decks are teak. Unlike most flushdeck motor yachts with their open-air aft decks, the 62 features a fully enclosed and paneled aft deck which serves as the main salon. This expansive entertainment area uses the full width of the hull and is open to the helm. The second salon on the lower level is used as a formal dining area. Designed as a crewed yacht, the galley is forward of the lower-level salon and the crew quarters are at the bow. (The engine room is accessed from the crew quarters.) There are two guest staterooms aft together with the master stateroom with its ensuite head. Topside, the extended flybridge is huge with plenty of room for a dinghy. GM 8V71 diesels cruise the Pacemaker 62 at 14–16 knots.
