Pacemaker
57 Motor Yacht
1977–80
An elegant yacht in her day with a distinctive flushdeck profile, the Pacemaker 57 Motor Yacht was one of the largest full-production yachts available in the U.S. market when she was introduced in 1977. This is not an all-fiberglass yacht; the hull and flybridge are solid fiberglass, but and the superstructure is a combination of fiberglass and glass-over-mahogany, and the decks are teak. The interior of the 57 consists of two salons, one on the lower level with a separate galley and dinette, and the other on the pilothouse level beneath the flybridge. The lower salon is generally used as a formal dining room, while the spacious, full-width main salon is open to the helm and extends aft nearly to the transom. (Note that a small afterdeck leaves room for line-handling duties.) There are two large staterooms aft, and the crew quarters, located in the forepeak, include a full head, built-in washer/dryer, and direct access to the engine room. Topside, the extended flybridge has seating for a small crowd. Standard 8V71TI diesels provide a cruising speed of 16–18 knots. The Pacemaker 62 Cockpit MY is the same boat with a cockpit addition.
