The seductive Alexander 74 is a premium blend of tasteful styling, spacious accommodations, and state of the art construction. Ocean Alexander has pretty much set the standard in recent years for motoryachts in this size range. In the case of the 74, her lavish three-stateroom (plus crew quarters) layout takes pilothouse luxury to the next level. The interior is finished in high-gloss varnished wood with leather-upholstered seating. The salon is large and roomy with satin-finished cherry cabinets, a large settee area, and custom entertainment center. A “powder room” head is to port going forward to the pilothouse. The galley is larger—and probably better equipped—than those of most homes. Below, the full-beam master suite has an island king bed, vanity, and his-and-hers heads with a common stall shower. The guest stateroom has twin beds, and the forward VIP stateroom has a centerline queen. The cockpit features two small settees to port and starboard, each with a small cocktail table. Between them a hatch leads down to the crew accommodations and engine room. Stabilizers and thrusters were standard. A Skylounge model was also available. Cruise at 16–18 knots with 1,100hp C-18 Cat engines.
