The Ocean Alexander 42 Classico is an aft cabin cruising yacht with a trawler-style profile that offers comfort and performance in a timeless design. With the house set well forward on the foredeck, the Classico is a surprisingly big 42-footer with a spacious salon and two large staterooms. Salon entry is through an aft deck door or via a starboard side door at helm station. The galley, located one step down to port with in the forward part of the salon, features a large breakfast bar and overhead cabinet. Visibility from the lower helm is good and the sliding door provides easy access to the deck. The forward guest stateroom features a queen bed (or V-berths) with hanging locker, cabinet and drawer storage. The guest head has an electric flush toilet and large stall shower with seat. The master stateroom is aft with queen bed, storage cabinets and hanging lockers. The master head features a Vacu-Flush toilet and separate stall shower. The salon and galley sole are teak parquet and the staterooms are carpet over teak parquet. The Classico’s wide side decks are a plus and the teak interior woodwork is finished to high standards. Twin 210hp Cat (or Cummins) diesels cruise at 10 knots (12–14 top).
