Ocean Alexander Yachts
450 Classico Sedan
1999–2004
The Northwest-inspired lines of the Ocean Alexander 450 Classico offer an early hint at this yacht’s intelligent design, comfortable accommodations and quality construction. Attention to detail is evident in all Ocean Alexander yachts. Designed by naval architect Ed Monk Jr., the 450’s seakindly hull is designed for efficient long-range cruising. From the spacious cockpit through to the salon, galley and lower helm, the main living area is on a single level (no steps). Entering the salon from the cockpit through the teak and glass sliding door, the salon is arranged with L-shaped seating to starboard and a hi/lo folding teak table to port. A large galley with dishwasher and granite counters is forward, opposite the lower helm. Stepping down into the companionway, the guest stateroom with over/under berths is to port and the master stateroom with island queen berths is forward. Engine room access is through a door forward or a salon sole hatch. The partially shaded cockpit of the 450 Classico Sedan features a transom door, fresh water shower and lazarette access. Topside, the flybridge offers a full helm forward, L-shaped seating and storage to starboard, and a hinged mast. Twin 420hp Cat diesels cruise at 14–16 knots.
