The Novatec 66 is a well-styled Asian import whose competitive price makes her an attractive alternative for those in the market for a contemporary Euro-style motor yacht. Not that she’ll be confused with a high-glitz Italian import—the interior of the Novatec is more subdued and the performance is well below European standards. For the price, however, the Novatec is a lot of boat with much to recommend her. The teak interior joinery is flawless throughout; the standard floorplans are spacious and well thought-out; the construction is solid; and the crisp styling of the 66 should keep her looking good for many years to come. Unlike some yachts of this type with their extended salons, the Novatec’s spacious afterdeck is large enough for entertaining a small crowd. The flybridge is equally roomy, and the oversized swim platform will easily accommodate a PWC. Additional features include wide side decks, a foredeck sun pad, and outside access to the crew quarters.
