Luhrs Yachts 320 Open
The Luhrs 32 Open (called the 320 Open from 2000–08) is a mid-tier express fishing boat with graceful lines and a versatile deck layout. Designed as a smaller alternative to the Luhrs 38 Open, the 32 Open is built on a deep-V hull with cored hullsides, a wide 13-foot beam, and a Carolina-style flared bow. Her center helm position is flanked by lounge seats, and while a hardtop and tower with controls were standard, a windshield was optional. Additional standard features of the 320 Open include a molded bow pulpit, above deck livewell, fresh and raw water washdowns, molded bait prep center, transom fish box, tackle drawers, gunnel rod holders, cockpit rod storage, swim platform, and transom door. The in-deck fish box near the transom is on the small side for a boat this size. Below deck, the 320 Open’s teak-trimmed interior with convertible settee (with hinged backrest), galley with fridge and microwave, and convertible dinette/V-berth forward sleeps five. Cruise at 20 mph with 320hp gas inboards (high 20s top). Optional 315hp Yanmar (or 330hp Cummins) diesels cruise in the mid 20s (just over 30 mph top).
