250 Center Console

1993–96

The Luhrs 250 Center Console is a rare breed, a twin-berth 25-footer with a choice of gas or diesel inboard power. Most center consoles this size—and most center consoles in general—are powered with outboards. Luhrs took a different approach with the 250, believing that the dependability of inboard power (as well as the longer range of the optional diesels) would appeal to anglers looking for something different in center console design. The 250 is a true walkaround and the outriggers and antennas are mounted on top of the standard T-top. The console is located forward of the welded rocket launcher/leaning post which sits atop the raised bridgedeck. A pair of coolers are just beneath the rocket launcher, and the sink next to the aft cooler has a set of tackle drawers below. For engine access, the entire bridgedeck tilts aft with the help of a gas-assist strut. A livewell is built into the transom and a lift-out fish box is fitted into the sole. Below, two single berths are found in the small cuddy along with a concealed marine head at the aft end of the cabin. A single 320hp gas inboard will cruise at 18 knots (high 20s top), and twin 280hp gas inboards cruise at 26 knots (low 30s top).
