Hinckley Yachts
Talaria 38R
2008–15
Another in Hinckley’s hugely successful series of jet drive luxury runabouts, the Talaria 38R’s stunning beauty and meticulous craftsmanship make her a serious candidate for yachting’s ultimate day boat. Not surprisingly, the 38R is loaded with cruising amenities including a one-of-s-kind convertible soft top which retracts at the push of a button into two small fiberglass panels on each side of the cockpit. The layout features a satin-finished cherry cabin below with V-berth/settee forward, galley with sink and microwave to port, and enclosed head with Vacu-Flush toilet to starboard. Aft of the helm, wrapping around to port and starboard, are triple settees and a double-settee facing forward. The forward-facing settee has removable cushions for port or starboard boarding steps. The cockpit is finished with a wraparound curved windshield with teak trim and cap rail forward, teak cockpit sole, teak cockpit table, and cockpit bar with sink and ice maker. A full-beam sun pad is aft, over the engine compartment. Twin Volvo 435hp D-6 diesels with Hamilton jet drives and JetStick controls cruise the Hinckley 38R at 32 knots (36–37 knots top).
