40 Picnic Boat

2019–Current

The powered hullside door eases entry onto the boat and unlike all other hull side doors, it can be remotely opened as you approach. Once opened, it stows inside the hull completely so that no cockpit space is sacrificed. (Manufacturer Provided Description) “The Picnic Boat 40 is the first yacht with Hinckley’s dynamic-steering system, giving helmsmen fewer wheel turns lock to lock at slow speeds, and a looser feel at higher speeds.” –Yachting Magazine EDITOR NOTES: The cockpit layout has fore and aft settees positioned athwartship creating the perfect after-hours conversation pit. Designed by Michael Peters and built in Maine, hull construction consists of an inner layer of carbon and an outer layer of Kevlar for impact resistance. Powered by jet drives and Hinckley’s patented JetStick steering, twin 480hp Cummins diesels reach a top speed close to 36 knots.
