T29R
2003–15
The Hinckley Talaria 29R is an expensive, jet-driven runabout whose graceful Downeast lines and meticulous finish are guaranteed to stop traffic everywhere she goes. Some have called the 29R a roadster, and it’s easy to see why. The hull shape is graceful; the mahogany trim accents add the right touches of elegance; and the cockpit—with its teak helm console, Nardi steering wheel, and posh seating—is reminiscent of an old-time sports car. Built on a cored, Kevlar-reinforced hull, the cockpit of the 29R provides seating for ten with plenty of legroom and storage. The engine box, which doubles as an aft-facing passenger seat, conceals a sink with pressure water and cooler, while the high-end helm and companion chairs both have flip-up bolsters. At the stern is a full-width lounge with storage under. Forward, the cuddy is fitted with a V-berth and a VacuFlush head. Additional features include joystick steering, teak swim platform, and bow thruster. The engine box lifts at the touch of a button for access to the engine area. A relatively light boat for her size, a single Yanmar 440hp diesel will cruise the 29R in the high 20s and top out at over 30 knots.
