Glacier Bay
3065 Canyon Runner
2007–08
Introduced at the outset of the Great Recession in 2007, the Glacier Bay 3065 Canyon Runner is a quality center console catamaran with the deck space of a much larger boat. Glacier Bay marketed this boat as a hardcore fishing platform, and her semi-displacement hulls are noted for their soft ride and exceptional fuel economy. The wide stance of the sponsons gives the 3065 an uncommonly stable ride, and pads on the bottom of each sponson are designed to enhance tracking. One benefit of a center console cat is the enormous deck space forward of the console, offering plenty of room for fishing or relaxing. The cockpit features an array of fishing features with large insulated fish/storage boxes under the deck. The bait prep center includes a 45-gallon livewell, and the helm seat is adjustable fore and aft and includes flip-up bolsters for standup driving. Additional features include fresh and raw water washdowns, cockpit bolsters, walk-in head compartment, lazarette storage, extended swim platform with railings, bow pulpit, folding aft jump seats, and cockpit lights. A relatively heavy boat for her size, Yamaha 250s reach just over 30 knots.
