C40 Command Bridge
2014–21
A distinctive boat with her two-tone color scheme and retro styling, the Carver C40 was introduced in 2014 as a value-priced flybridge cruiser with an impressive feature list. It's rare to see a plumb bow on a cruising boat—in this case, it increases the interior volume of the C40 which, combined with her tall freeboard, allows for a surprisingly spacious layout. Built on a solid fiberglass hull with a wide 13'6" beam, access to the command bridge is via a stairway to starboard in the cockpit. When the C-40’s twin sliding glass bulkhead doors are open the galley, dinette, salon, cockpit, and swim platform combine to become an extended entertainment platform. A U-shaped dinette surrounding a fixed table is to starboard in the salon, opposite a movable settee. The galley, forward to port, has tons of storage and counter space. The C40’s salon is bathed in natural light thanks to large wraparound windows. Below deck accommodations include a very spacious master stateroom forward with private head, and a guest stateroom to starboard with twin berths and access to the second day head. Cummins 380hp V-drive diesels cruise at 24–25 knots.
